LHD – Linear Heat Detector Interfaces TEC083A

The TEC083A-LI and TEC083A-ET have been designed to interface the Linear Heat Detector (LHD) cable to an FACP.

• The TEC083A-LI is positioned at the start of the LHD cable run and provides a convenient means to terminate the LHD cable when interfacing to a conventional FACP.
• The TEC083A-ET is positioned at the end of the LHD cable run and provides a selectable EOL resistor between 6k8 or 3k3, depending on the FACP being used.

Basic Operation

Normal Condition

• The Input Power LED on the TEC083A-LI is illuminated.
• The Power On LED on the TEC083A-ET is illuminated.

Fault Condition

• Should a fault condition occur on the LHD, it will be indicated on the FACP.

Fire Alarm

• When the LHD reaches the activation temperature, an alarm condition is indicated on the FACP and the TEC083A-LI.
• A fire condition may also be simulated on the FACP by pressing the Test Button on the TEC083A-ET.
