XERO’s advanced fire suppression technology delivers a compact, cost-effective fire-extinguishing solution for a wide range of industries.
The solid aerosol-forming compound is housed in a hermetically sealed stainless steel canister, which is non-pressurised and capable of withstanding harsh, corrosive environments. When activated, the solid compound transforms into an ultra-fine, condensed aerosol, which is propelled into the protected area. Fire suppression is achieved by interrupting the chemical chain reaction that occurs during a fire, effectively extinguishing it without depleting oxygen levels or causing negative environmental impacts.
XERO units are available either as electrically activated units, which can be integrated into any fire detection and control system, or as standalone thermally activated units. The units’ compact size, minimal maintenance requirements, and long service life provide significant flexibility in applications.
As such, XERO units can protect all high-fire-risk applications, including battery energy storage systems, EV charging stations, EV vehicles, electrical switchgear, transformer rooms, flammable liquid storage areas, power plants, and mining vehicles.
Some XERO electrically operated units are certified for use in hazardous-area enclosed environments. These units are UL-listed and ATEX-certified.
The XERO-EX product line is suited for enclosed hazardous areas in industries such as Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Flammable Liquid and Hazardous Material Storage, Battery Storage, Laboratories, Transportation and Manufacturing.
XERO condensed aerosol generators are highly compact, yet extremely effective fire suppression units that are easy to install and require very little maintenance. The units are non-pressurised, and no pipework is required to distribute the condensed aerosol fire suppressant throughout the protected area. This simple and robust design significantly reduces installation and maintenance costs.
The fire suppressant agent is non-corrosive and non-conductive, and leaves little residue when the post-discharge cleanup procedures are followed. Downtime, cleanup, and repair costs are therefore minimised in the event of a fire or discharge. XERO units can also be quickly and easily replaced, further reducing costly delays in the event of a fire.
