LHD – Linear Heat Detector Cable

A continuous heat detector capable of detecting heat anywhere along its length. The sensor cable comprises two steel conductors, each individually insulated with a proprietary heat-sensitive polymer. The insulated conductors are twisted together to impose a spring pressure between them, then wrapped with protective tape and finished with a protective outer jacket. This LHD can be connected to a standard Technoswitch fire control panel or, when used with a PIM-530 interface module, the detector will activate a display showing the location, in metres, of an overheat or fire condition anywhere along its length.

Protectowire Linear Heat Detectors are UL- and FM-approved.

• Proper handling and storage are mandatory to ensure detector performance. Exposure to heat above its fixed temperature rating will render the linear heat detector unusable and may not be evident by its visual appearance.
