The detectors address both slow-growing fires and fast-moving fire eruptions using advanced technology.
The FlameSpec UV/IR flame detector offers an ultra-fast response, high performance, and reliable detection of a wide range of fires, including hydrocarbon fires (visible and invisible), as well as hydrogen and methane/hydrogen mixed fires.
The FlameSpec IR3 flame detector provides ultra-fast response, high performance, and reliable detection of all types of hydrocarbon fires (visible and invisible).
The IR3 flame detector is available in both EX and non-EX versions.
The FlameSpec IR3 H2 flame detector delivers unrivalled response, high performance, and reliable detection for a range of fires found in Energy Transition applications, including hydrogen, methane, syngas, ammonia, and methanol.
The above models are also available with an integrated High Definition (HD) Camera, allowing clear imaging of fire and people at 30 metres. All fire events are recorded and stored in the detector for local or remote download and analysis. The recordings start one minute before detection and continue for up to four minutes; the event video can be used for post-incident investigation. Continuous HD video can also be streamed live to a control room and recorded on a Network Video Recorder (NVR).
The FlameSpec Flame Simulator enables fast, convenient detector verification in the field.
Three different models are available for testing each type of FlameSpec Detector (IR3, IR3-H2 and UV/IR). These simulators can be used at distances up to 7 meters from the detector and are suitable for hazardous-area use.
Optical flame detectors are often used in highly polluted or dirty areas, where maintenance personnel must frequently access the detector to clean its optical window. The FG-AS air shield for the FlameSpec series of optical flame detectors enables the detectors to be installed in harsh environments where they are exposed to oil vapours, sand, dust, and other particulate matter.
The COBRA Air Purge panel range can be used in conjunction with flame detectors and LHDs supplied by Technoswitch to ensure the optimum operation of the connected detectors when installed in outdoor/dirty environments.
