About This Course

This training course covers the various standard detection devices utilised on a Conventional Fire Detection System.

Please note – Specialised Conventional equipment such as Beams, Linear Heat and ASD devices are covered in separate training courses.

Purpose of this Training Course

This training course is a pre-requisite training course for any of Technoswitch Conventional Fire Alarm Panel courses.

Learners who have completed this course, will have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the various devices utilised on Conventional Fire Alarm Panels.

Learning Assuming to be in Place

• Fire Detection Principles would prove beneficial
• Basic Fire Detection

Course Information

Please read the following information carefully

1. You may conduct the Online Theory in your own time. However, your place within the course will not be saved once you exit unless you have taken a Formative Assessment. Please use your downloaded manual to mark your position within the course.
2. Each Formative Assessment can be taken a MAXIMUM of 3 times (3 Attempts)
3. Formative assessments are considered open book. Your Training Manual will be essential.
4.  You need to successfully complete each formative assessment before moving to the next Module or Lesson
5. An 80% pass rate is required in order to progress
6. Upon successful completion of the Online Theory, a certificate of completion will be issued. The Certificate will need to be submitted when booking your Practical session
